What happens if it rains?
As an outdoor venue, we're aware that rain can sometimes affect our plans! We monitor the weather radar carefully and if we feel that heavy rain or thunderstorms may affect the performance, the show will be held indoors at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church.

Our decision will always be made by 5pm and posted on the home page of our website.

If our predictions go awry and it pours down during a performance, we will offer you the opportunity to come back and see the show on another occasion.

Being outdoors and by the water, what do we need to bring?
Matinees can sometimes be very hot, so we strongly advise bringing a sunhat or sun-brella with you, as there is not much shade in the amphitheatre.

We don't like to turn anyone away from our shows, but some visitors are less welcome than others! We have a mosquito trap placed in the amphitheatre, which makes a big difference, but if you are particularly sensitive to mosquitoes you might want to bring some insect repellant with you, just in case.

The marina is a beautiful setting for a picnic - you're welcome to make use of the picnic tables dotted around the lighthouse.

What are the seating arrangements?
We recommend that you bring a folding chair, blanket or cushion with you, but if you prefer, a limited number of folding chairs are available to rent for $3 each, or cushions for $1.

We open the amphitheatre for you to place your chairs 30 minutes before the start of the show.

How do I buy tickets?
Book online by clicking here. Alternatively, you can call us during regular office hours to make a credit card booking over the phone. You will then be able to collect your tickets at the amphitheatre on the night of the performance.

Can I buy tickets at the door?
Yes! Our box office opens at the amphitheatre 45 minutes before the start of the performance. We accept cash, cheques, Visa and Mastercard.

Where can we park?
Prescott has a number of free parking lots, all within walking distance of the amphitheatre. The largest can be found right beside the river at the end of Centre Street (turn south at the Clock Tower!)

Can we get refreshments?
The lighthouse in the harbour stocks some yummy soft-serve ice cream. At the amphitheatre itself, we sell a selection of water, pop and candy bars, with proceeds going to the Rotary Club of Prescott.

New for 2011, the Red George Pub is selling cold beer, wine and cider in the amphitheatre before the show and during intermission.

How long is intermission?
Intermission lasts 15 minutes. You're welcome to bring your refreshments back into the amphitheatre with you.

Will the plays be suitable for my children?
We strive to make our productions accessible for audiences of all ages, but we realize that every family must set their own guidelines. If you have any concerns about the play's subject matter or language, we encourage you to contact us before buying your tickets to discuss whether it will be appropriate for your children.

I'm an actor - how do I audition for the Festival?
Auditions are usually held early in the new year. Professional actors who are interested in being considered for casting are requested to send their headshot, resume and a short covering letter outlining their interest in the Festival to our Artistic Director.
