NOW HIRING: Box Office Attendant

Location: Prescott, Ontario               

Duration: 7 weeks
Start Date: July 7, 2025                   

Wage: $18.00/hour | 35 hours/week

About the Festival

Founded in 2003, the St. Lawrence Shakespeare Festival is a vibrant part of Eastern Ontario’s summer arts scene. We present professional, outdoor theatre along the banks of the St. Lawrence River .

 

Position Overview

We are looking for a dynamic, personable, and organized individual to join us as Box Office Attendant for the 2025 season. As the first point of contact for patrons, the Box Office Attendant is responsible for ticket sales, handling customer inquiries, organizing front-of-house volunteers, and ensuring a welcoming and smooth theatre experience.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage ticket sales and box office operations (cash/credit handling)

  • Provide excellent customer service in person, via phone and email

  • Coordinate volunteer ushers and track contributions

  • Maintain front-of-house organization during performances

  • Support merchandise sales and daily reconciliation

  • Assist with special ticketing programs and office administration

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Age 18–30 (as per funding guidelines)

  • Interest in theatre and community engagement an asset

  • Strong communication, public relations, and organization skills

  • Able to work evenings, weekends, and outdoors

  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to multitask
